Keep your recovery code private

Your recovery code opens your account. Do not email it, publish it, or include it in screenshots. Never send passwords, session tokens, or raw health exports to get routine help.

New phone? Recover the account and the save.

  1. On your original device, open the Den menu and find Recovery Code. Store your code somewhere private.
  2. Enable Cloud Save and check that a backup succeeds before changing devices.
  3. On the new device, use I Have a Code to access your account. Then open Cloud Save to restore your monsters and local progress.

The code restores access to server-held coins, items and records. It is not a copy of your monster save. Without a code or an available cloud save, recovery may be limited.

Health Connect is not syncing

Check Health Connect permissions and that your source app has written recent supported activity. Sync again in Motus. Re-reading previously credited activity does not create another reward. Android provides the current health integration; the web version is primarily for testing.

The map or online actions will not load

Check your connection and foreground location permission. Map tiles and shared features need network access. Avoid reinstalling to fix a connection issue before securing your recovery code and a successful cloud save.

Play safely

Stop moving before interacting with the screen. Follow local access rules, avoid roads and restricted places, and take rest days. Motus is a game, not medical advice or an exercise prescription.
